šŸ”„ Florida might be the ā€œFree State of Floridaā€ now, but, well, itā€™s still good old Florida down here. Fox News reported a story yesterday about a local law enforcement press briefing headlined, ā€œFlorida Sheriff Promotes Gun Safety Course for Residents to Shoot Home Invaders: ā€˜We Prefer That You Doā€™.ā€

Just days after I left the area following my ā€œSave a Generationā€ appearance, Brandon J. Harris, 32, was arrested for breaking into several homes in Pace, Florida. He was finally stopped by a homeowner who fired at him several times. In a news briefing about the arrest, Santa Rosa Sheriff Bob Johnson said:

> ā€œOne of the homeowners, he was breaking into their house, and they shot at him. So he continues to run, we finally corner him in a house that he broke into on Tom Sawyer and we cornered him in a bedroom. I guess they [the homeowner] think they did something wrong, which they did not. If someoneā€™s breaking into your house, youā€™re more than welcome to shoot them in Santa Rosa County. We prefer that you do, actually. So, whoever that was, youā€™re not in trouble, come see us. We have a gun safety class we put on every other Saturday. If you take that, youā€™ll shoot a lot better, and hopefully youā€™ll save the taxpayers money.ā€

So! While we welcome all covid refugees in Florida, we just want you to learn how to shoot.

If all crime had genuine consequences, it would quickly fall to record low levels. Plug enough burglars and eventually it will stop. Either the crooks will wise up or death will decrease their numbers to zero. Either scenario is a win for the law abiding people.

When people are raised by parents who cry and scream, "my Baby didn't deserve to die, he was just robbing you house while you were in it, Why did you kill him"
That is the problem.
