Battery drain down

I have a 50 mA drain on the battery. I individually pulled all the fuses and relays. The 50 mA drain was always there.

'83 Porsche 911SC.

Any suggestions?

The Vette is faster. :buddies:

Top Gear tested the Vette.

Wouldn't stick in the corners, and parts were falling off into their laps before their testing was done.

Spend that kind of money, I'd go with the uber german engineering of the Audi.. or Mercedes.. (Bet you never would have guessed that!)

In My Opinion
check the wire harness from the alt back, pick it up and look at the bottom of the wires where they come in contact with engine or any other hard surface.
If the casing is worn through due to constant rubbing, put electric tape around them, then add a plastic sleeve at that point to keep it from rubbing any more.

Ive now had two different cars give me the same symptom and both times that is what I finally found.

Parts were not just falling off.
They were being jettisoned to increase aerodynamics and stabilize steering problems.
One of the few cars that does that. Its a safety feature.

:yeahthat: I've also seen a battery be dirty enough to get current flowing across the top. Clean any grease or corrosion off the case

true, however a search on the internet will find youtube videos of 2500 and 3500 Duramax diesels whooping up on the vettes at the quarter mile.

Im just saying.

P.S
I have to agree with Bob on that German engineering, with most cars you get what you pay for, With German cars I have the experinence to feel as if I got more than I paid for.

So I found these video's and they are of OLDer vettes. The one vette only clocked a 14.26. Hell I had a '72 Chevelle with a stock 350 that would do that. I'd have to say that vette was a rag or the guy has issues.

Lets drive a 2010 Dodge diesel and a 2010 Z06 of the floor and onto the track. I know where my money is going.
