This government fund uses your money: Chesapeake Bay restoration group funded largely by revenues from the popular blue "Treasure the Chesapeake" Maryland license plates

they claim "restoration and educational projects have helped raise awareness and protect the bay and its rivers."

1) but do they actually achieve results, other than spend money?

I realize the feel good types like this spending, but where is the cleaner water? Any year to year studies that show this stuff works?

By the way I think the oyster farming works, but a Tree? Come on.

Just wondering.

As long as there continues to be developement along the shores of the Chesapeake and it's water shed they will be behind the eight ball on a cleaner bay. It's probably a losing battle, but still worth the fight.
