Seriously though, I could see it happening. With all the tractor trailers hauling stuff over the mountains... Some little bear hops a ride and gets off in greater downtown Mechanicsville. Maybe it will be a new TV sitcom!!! Anyone else remember BJ and the Bear? Except, of course, that "Bear" was a chimp...

Is this thread serious? The ex's dog is outside and they won't be home before midnight. Do I have to drive over and save the dog?
Don't know for sure, but daughters bf works at Thompsons and someone came in saying there was def a bear...I came on here to see if there was anything about it and sure enough I found this thread. Hopefully the dog will be safe!!!

I heard the call. We called the 911 center. They didn't know if it was a bear or someone freaking out about a Rottweiler. I wouldn't take any chances if I lived up there. I haven't heard anything since. You could call the 911 center for an update, I guess.

Ok, she said they tranquilized it, not sure how big and on Thompson's Corner Road. That is all she knows right now.
