we keep a calendar of when to expect bills mailed through our UNITED STATES POSTAL cervix.
Bills that are expected around the 20th either have not been received or were very very late. Our carrier, a very nice woman, very kind and slightly embarrassed said she delivered parcels recently that were postmarked APRIL.
I know there was a block, wherein due to COVID , mail stacked up in a Virginia warehouse for a while but this is way beyond stupid.
Yeah, we did contact SMECO, PNC, CARD SERVICES to set up automatic payments but was this the USPS plan? We do receive numerous sales ads for WEIS, SAFEWAY, health carriers, AutoZone.....etc...

Kamela?? Felicia Rashad?? hello???

Christ, some of you never catch a break. Late mail, overcharged electric, cable outages. Just on and on. FedEx sends a package between Martinsburg, WV and the delivery facility in Upper Marlboro four times in three weeks then loses the package. Wait, that's me.

Mail delivery has gotten better for me - yup I still get ALL my bills in the mail and pay 97% of them with a check back thru the mail. I don't want these companies keeping my personal bank information in their computers that can get hacked by the Russians. And when one bank pisses me off, it is easier to open a new account at another bank and order checks than it is to change 50 different automatic payments. Yup, I write at least 50 checks per month. And I haven't accessed any of my bank accounts online in more than 10 years. I know how much money I have without looking at it everyday.

But I did receive a newspaper last week in the mail that was dated for early May. Yup, I still read newspapers too. I'm an old fogie that smells and very damn proud of it!

Just sneakin' around....
Same here. Bills all arriving on time, my mail being delivered on time. The only exception was a package I just got. It arrived at the Lexington Park PO on June 1. On June 2 it was in Elkridge, MD, and then back to Lexington Park for delivery on the 3rd. Not the first time, and it sure is a waste of time and resource.

I don't have direct deposit for my paycheck, don't do online banking, and don't autopay anything. I still have some relatives that we still send letters back and forth.

I worked for a governmental entity that ****ed (still ****s) up both paper payroll checks and direct deposit. Its reputation was so bad 30 years ago (and still is to an extent) that local banks would put a ten day hold on its checks even though the banks' policies were either no hold or two days.

Having said the above, my very first check and very last check at retirement from them both bounced. To add insult to injury my post-retirement health insurance was also cancelled, which the doctor had to tell me. The story was that the person in charge of authorizing insurance was on vacation and forgot to send the reauthorization before leaving.
