Beautiful Tribute

Look at this tribute to a fallen comrade. It's just over the bridge in Solomons,
apparently a volunteer firefighter died while on a call.
I don't know any other details unfortunately.

Don't believe any firefighter died in the line of duty, a former firefighter proably passed away and they do the traditional arch at the cemetary. :yay:

It was beautiful. We passed it going to and from St. Mary's. I believe on the Solomons Fire dept. sign it said in memory of past chief ___ ....Can't remember the name.

The Harwood/Lothian station did the same for my uncle who was killed with my father. Also for my granddad who was chief and then chaplain of the Woodland Beach VFD.

I went to the funeral of my husbands great uncle in Emmitsburg. They had the big fire trucks right in front of the firehouse on main street with the ladders up and the flag hanging there. It was an experiance to see that. Plus he was a WWII POW and they had all kinds of honors on top of the one the fire fighters gave him. :huggy:

My wife and I knew Ursula when she worked at AAA. She was truly a wonderful person. It was nice to see the tribute paid her.
