Behavioral Issues

My dog has gotten into the habit of ripping the carpet up in my house. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can stop him from doing this? His disreguard for my home is getting pretty expensive. Thanks to anyone who can offer some advice.

Have not moved yet. But Spy Glass is a good prospect. But I can't take a destructive dog with me. He is something else.

Jack Russell Terrior. A little over a year old.

well I am not in an apartment at this time. I am on a farm and he gets lots of exercise.

LOL. I can't do that to him. I am trying to prepare him for a move and want to break him of this sudden bad habit he has.

Is it one certain spot or is it all over? Has something been spilled on the rug that he finds appealing? Maybe cleaning the carpets??
