i deffinetly would agree that clarkes landings prices are a bit on the steap side, but i am still partial to them. Although i have yet to try the dry dock's cakes... i may have to make a trip over there in the next week or so an try them out. I'm always game for trying new things.Personally I think Clarkes Landing is overpriced and over rated. I like the crab cakes at Zazingers aka The Dry Dock in Solomons. They are like 2 softballs of deliciousness and have little if any filler and a nice sauce on the side. The Pier also serves a fair crabcake sandwich, but their breading is a bit thick and too much seasoning for my taste.
Zanhisers!Zanheisers

Wow don't I keel like an azz, especially since I copied it and pasted it from google, I just did it again and I must have missed the part where it said DID YOU MEAN ......Zanhisers!![]()

Glad you enjoyed your meal.Ive been home only 90 minutes since I left Clarkes Landing, my crabcakes were very good, kind of pricey, but heck it was a Anniversary, Birthday thing and I wasnt worried about price.
I specfically went there because of the comments in this thread.
The wifes crab imperial with talppi was very good as was the cream of crab soup.

You can eat it for 2 days. Little pricey there but good food and service. Nick and Johanna are great people.Don't forget Rusty... without him the food wouldn't be as good as it is.Next time try the Seafood PastaYou can eat it for 2 days. We went Saturday evening got there about 715 and we were out the door leaving at 815, service was really quick. It may have helped that we did get there as a party of about 20 were wrapping up. Would not have wanted their bill.Next time try the Seafood PastaYou can eat it for 2 days. Little pricey there but good food and service. Nick and Johanna are great people.
in fact everyone at the other tables which were all occupied were either eating or just finishing, so Im sure that helped alot with the fast service.
for some reason I was craving crabcakes yesterday. I ended up at Clarks Landing thanks to the reviews here. My only reccommendation would be to add a dash of seasoning--there was none.for some reason I was craving crabcakes yesterday. I ended up at Clarks Landing thanks to the reviews here. can someone please tell me where the Jerry's(is this the correct name?) is located in Prince Frederick--couldn't find it and decided to call the location in Lanham and she told me the only new one they had was located in Annapolis
The new "original Jerry's is located on the south bound side of Rt. 4. It's just north of Wentworth's Nursery. It used to be Vic's place. I think it's next to a tire place.
thanks, i'll be sure to look for it on my way home today.thanks again, you were right & I found it!! stopped in and got the phone # menu. The new "original Jerry's is located on the south bound side of Rt. 4. You have to try Jeery's Place in Prince Frederick. He used to own Jerr'y Seafood. By far the best crab cake in Maryland
Yep, excellent food.Edgewater Inn in Edgewater! OMG they are delicious, and the Cream of Crab soup is awesome too!
It's a bit of a drive but very good and plenty of food.
