Okay, question!

What makes a good Crab cake to you all? What makes a CC make you say OMG this is the best CC I've had?

I also like huge lump meat and proper season. Some places can really kill it with too much old bay or mayo or mustard. I like to be able to taste the crab meat with a hint of the season! Not the season and a hint of crab! LOL But yes the lump meat help with the shells. The worst thing is to be spitting out shell with every bite! This is why I prefer to eat CC at home where I know my hubby can make them right!

But When I can get over this morning sickness crap I will be going to Jerry's to try theirs! I've had Jerry's from the Lanham area and liked it. but that is after his nephews took over that place. However I think they kept the CC recipe the same!!!!

My wifes is the best and then Stoney's in season. Out of season there is too much foreign crab meat being used. The taste just doesn't measure up!:coffee:

the white sands has the best crab soup & the willows has the best crab cakes.... they also make an appetizer called crab italia that is yummy

I get the feeling you don't know what your talking about. Several local restaurants in the southern Maryland area use real crab meat. Read the entire thread, numerous places are mentioned.
I never said they didn't use real crab meat. I said it isn't local crab meat. I do know what I'm talking about. I've worked in the resturaunts.
