Researching that myself. Currently have netzero - very unhappy with their service.

Dialup is almost obsolete. DSL is a far better option and isn't that much more expensive than dialup.

Problem is that it isn't available in all areas...like mine.

I use Netzero for now. I haven't had any problems, but I don't use my home computer too much.

I love OLG.com. We have had them for almost ten years. Now we live where we can't get dsl and satellite is super expensive. OLG is almost as fast as the DSL I have at work.

My wife used to use Copper.net for years, even as a backup to our DirecTV internet (which almost never goes out). They have a LOT of phone numbers and very reliable.

But you can get HughesNet Internet anywhere, provided you're willing to shoulder the cost of setup (they used to be DirecWay, and you just called up DirecTV for it). We've had their service for about 3 years, and it's been about 98% reliable. We're only down in bad storms.

I have HughesNet. Its Ok, definitely beats dial up but I'd rather have DSL or cable. Their just not available in my area.
