Best Friends Club dolls

yeah yeah
So skeeter is extremely excited every time these show up on tv. Are these like barbie dolls or bigger? She is really into American Girl dolls too- however, those are a little pricey. So, to suffice her we are looking into something else right now?

Anyone have one of these? Are they :yay: or :nay:? Her 4th birthday is coming up very quickly.

I can't say I've ever heard of the "Best Friends Club" dolls, but I just looked them up....looks like a cross between a Barbie and an American girl doll....18" tall, like American Girl, but skinnier, like a Barbie.

That tells me that the only clothes you will be able to find to fit will be the "Best Friends" brand, whereas there are dozens of companies that make clothes that will fit a doll proportioned like an American Girl.

We got our daughter an "Our Generation" doll which is Target brand's American Girl copy. Same proportions as American Girl, large selection of hair, skin and eye colors (although selection varies from store to store, so look online ( our generation doll : Target Search Results ) so clothes and accessories are interchangable across brands.... As I said, there are several companies that make the same size clothes.

Now, that's not to say that it's a perfect copy...my 6 year old, brand consciencious diva knew the difference but than her grandmother had taken her to the American Girl Cafe in Atlanta. BUT she also knows that when she gets the American Girl catalog in the mail, she is more likely to get a $40 outfit (one of these days) than a $100 doll, so she can live with that.
