BestBuy grand opening?

like the 'new shopping center' thread said.. panera is claiming to be open in november- so sometime around then or right before I would imagine. :smile:

I'm assuming that Best Buy will be packed the first couple of hours into operation. Just imagine the traffic on that day! :yikes:

November 18th...

Only reason I know I was hired today as a part time geek squad since I do consulting for a big firm down here... Good pay too.. :)

Thanks chess! I am surprised they are not opening until then...seems like Ross is ready to go now but I guess the finishing touches take a while, not to mention the time it will take to hire and train people, and stock all the stores. I can't wait!!!!! :thewave:

I was surprised... Training starts the 28th of October... They are opening exactly 1 week before Black Friday!! He said they will have about 120 employees, and do about 20 million in sales :) which i was like whoa.. I can believe it though... There isnt any place within 30 miles that has what best buy has... Plus there discounts are unreal.. will be a good fun part time job to pay off the college loans ! :) Plus a fun job at that....

I can find out when Ross is opening, my buddies girlfriend is working there, and they are already doing training....


This is certainly a positive for this county!

Part time do get discounts.. i will probably be working alot... Since I put down 5-9 every night, and weekends so.... 8+8 on the weekends.. say plus 3 days during the week 12+ 16 = 28 hours which isnt bad... could be more than that..

I will give you an example of the discount.... Cell phone charger costs 25 dollars in the store.. employee gets it for 2.65...

Now since I mention this, its not like that for every product, the products that get a very good discount are... car audio, computer accesories..... :)
