My wedding is on Beta :lmao:

Mine is too, from the ex-husband when we married in 1986. But the video has alot of family members that are no longer living, that's the only real reason I want to have it transfered.

If you have the recorder, you can simply connect video/audio out from Beta to video/audio in on DVD recorder, (of YHS, 8mm, V-Cord, etc.)

Now, Beta has been in use much longer in professional Betacam systems used by t.v. stations. Try B&H in N.Y. for new systems, but I am not sure what speed your tapes are recorded at. You could try EBAY for a used Beta machine. Then, open a business copying the Beta tapes to newer formats.

If you have some kind of analog-to-digital passthrough equipment (like a cheap DV camcorder) you could also get the Beta stuff into your computer via iMovie or Adobe Premier or anything like that. Although it would take quite some time.
