If he doesn't allow elections, I don't see how we have any choice but to completely cut him off. It would be immensely hypocritical of us not to call for sanctions, or at the very least support them when they come up.

The balance between Pakistan and India has been so tenuous that this instability could tuen as ugly as it gets. This isn't just a third world country, this is a third world country with nukes.

Why the hell did we fork over 10 BILLION dollars to him already... We certainly didn't get 10 BILLION dollars worth of "war on terror" effort out of him.

Yep...this is very bad, and there's not a damn thing the US can do about it.

Musharraf, with all his flaws, is practically the only thing standing between his nukes and all the terrorists living in his country. He knows it, and he knows we know it.

I doubt he has much concern at all over what the US might do.
