It is people using God or god to justify their position rather than subjecting their position to God's.
NO, not quite.. it's people using the bible in defense of what they chose to do.. they are learned christians, that can interpret the bible to their purpose, just as you, or anyone else can do.

What is the bibles position on Jews?? Are they swine, unworthy of pearls too?

Bush is a Christian, yet he waged war.. So was Roosevelt, and Kennedy.. and Eisenhower.. Schwartzkopf .. hmm with that name he may NOT have been a Christian.. Powell.. Rice.. Kerry.. he's a Christian, yet he killed a man in cold blood.. Gore is a Christian... Matter of fact I'm Betting ALL of our Presidents were Christians.. and how many wars have we fought?

I'm out to convert people away from the mentally and socially irresponsible position of religion.
I've asked this question of the Christians here before, and I think it's fair to ask Slotted:

Why are other people's personal religious beliefs any of your business? Why do you have an emotional investment in getting others to change their beliefs? Why should anyone change their beliefs based on what you think is good for people?

You keep missing that not all those that claim to be Christian are Christian.

You seem to be arguing for the sake of argument which I think is pointless, so i'll let you go your way. Bye.

1) They are posting their beliefs on a public forum, so I think it's fair to post my beliefs, which go against theirs, as well.

2) Because I think society would be much better off without religious dogma. People would be responsible and held accountable for their actions or lack of.

3) They shouldn't change their beliefs on what I think is good. They should find out what is true and believe that.

You haven't explained to me WHO or WHAT is a christian.. and this all started by CC saying something like Christians are sometimes liek the Muslim Extremists.. which people to affront to, I for one agree with her.. AND that was what I was aarguing.. today it's the Muslims (not all, but many) spewing hate, and murder.. 50 years ago it was Christians and Christianity.. and today, when a Christian annonuces this is the ONLY true way.. you need to live your life like this.. everyone else is wrong, there is but one God.. MINE.. it is no less hateful, denegrating or inciting then the antifahda.. they are saying the EXACT same thing.. If you don't believe in OUR God, then you are an infidel.. you don't live the way we think is the right way to live, you're an infidel.. if you don't treat your women like we say you should, you're an infidel.. the only difference is, they are a little more committed to their beliefs then we are..

Thank you for clarifying EXACTLY what I was trying to say. :yay: Today, it's debating beliefs on a forum ... tomorrow, it could be bullet-spraying a temple. I'm not saying I think anyone who advocates their religion on here WOULD do that ... but hell, who'd have thought that people would steer airplanes full of innocent people into buildings/the ground ... in the name of their God?

I concede that arguing with you is pointless, nothing more.

A Christian is one who is a disciple of Jesus. It is that simple. Beyond that, there is no explanation.

Acts 11:25-27

<sup id="en-NASB-27333">25</sup>And he left for Tarsus to look for Saul;

26and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch And for an entire year they met with the church and taught considerable numbers; and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

27Now at this time some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.

You won't accept this either, but that is just you being you.

Again, religion isn't a cause of violence, it is an excuse for people to use violence. People kill each other over money, over clothes, over political power, and a variety of other reasons. If there were no Christianity or no Islam or no religion period, people would continue to find reasons to kill and hurt one another. To say that Christianity or any other religion has <b>caused</b> the majority of the world's violence is a fallacy. It has been used to justify it, along with many other ideologies.
