I am convinced that no one else in this country can repair the mess Biden has made.
Trump has his job cut out for him, but we need to give him Republicans who are willing to save America.

I disagree. There were people here that said in 2019 that they welcomed Biden as the dem nominee. I said I thought Biden was the only person who could beat Trump in 2020. It's all about who wins the independents.
Biden should be easily beaten in 2024. He will not be beaten if republicans continue to play the cult of Trump. There are any number of republicans who can beat Biden based on what independents will do. For some reason, republicans would rather go down with Trump than beat the other party. I fail to understand this logic.
I will give Trump one thing. He made the statement that republicans need to rethink their abortion stance. I absolutely agree with him One thing that Trump is very good at is judging the crowd. And he knows that the abortion ruling and the stances taken by red state governors have backfired on the republican party. He understands what it takes to win a general election and he knows that the hard line abortion stance is going to kill the republican party in 2024.
There are warning signs out there if the republicans wish to see them for what they are. Biden would be the most unlikely of incumbent president's to win re-election. But unless republicans change up their strategy, he might very well do that against all odds.

I wouldn't at all judge Biden's chance by his current poll numbers. Reagan's were terrible at this point, after just recovering from one of the worst recessions last century - and he won in the second biggest landslide in American history - and the biggest Electoral win ever. A lot can happen in two years.
That said, I don't think his chances are good at all. Sooner or later, Dems will tire of a Weekend at Bernie's kind of President and will clamor for someone younger. Someone like Newsom gives them that "out" without running Harris, whom they'd love to dump. I think he's done such an awful job as President, most Americans will at least WANT SOMEONE ELSE. They just need a reason.
I like Trump, and a strong part of me wants him as the nominee if only for a kind of revenge. An "I told you so" kind of thing. But there's an anti-Trump sentiment that I am not sure can be beaten AND - he's also older, just as Biden is. If he is elected, HE will be the oldest President elected. He certainly has a LOT more of his vigor than Biden does - but he is ALREADY older than Reagan was in 84, when they were challenging his age.
Aside from the revenge factor, maybe it's time to move on. Sadly, that is too late, Trump has announced, probably can't be beaten in the primary and if he DOES get beat, his challenger will have wasted precious resources up until then.
Trump is right - Americans do have to re-think abortion. Outlawing exceptions and making abortions illegal after a mere six weeks puts America among the most extreme in the world. Six weeks is even early to even KNOW you're pregnant and most Western nations have a threshold of anywhere from 12-16 weeks. It's the issue that beat them last November. They need to reconsider.

CPUSA is right about how Biden won, but my biggest worry is that they are ready to doit again and republicans haven't figured out that early voting and mail-in ballots will destroy the American system of elections.
