Biden denied Communion.

Of course I do, as a metaphor. Each is a rule-book. To a Christian, the Bible includes a set of rules for life. To a lawyer, the Constitution includes a set of parameters or rules for secular law.

That you can't see you've messed up on this conversation is far more telling about you than anyone else.

No, it absolutely is not.
LOL... Never own a business have you. They file taxes, have licenses like other business's, have gaming licenses.....and on and on....
If a churches expenses are more that its income it will fail and close its doors. Its a business, there is no mana tree for the church to harvest the money to turn a negative to a positive.
The church has paid W2 employees,,, its a business...

Gotta go, molds to weld...

I have.

By your guideline, my home is a business. My home is NOT a business, so what you're describing is "they exist in America", not a business.

I have to guess that members of the press were at the service and saw that Biden was denied communion. My thought is the priest should not have made any statement regarding the matter.

Meh, maybe he wants to make an example to his parishioners. I would bet there are several local churches where Biden would be refused communion. Like I said before, if the priest knows you don’t meet the qualifications he has a duty to refuse you.

I answered no,,to your silly Strawman,
And I will say this again, The Catholic Church should have kept its mouth shut. A conversation between clergy and a Member of the church is private...The priest should have kept his ****ing mouth shut... The Priest made a political choice and then he made a political statement to a news organisation..
Your lack of knowledge is showing here.....

The only conversation that is sacred is confession. Open conversations with clergy on subjects outside of confession is not protected.

I do admire your willingness to go infinite miles in order to NOT admit being wrong in any way.

The press asked a question. The priest answered the question and explained why. The reasoning was based on his teachings and the rules/laws of his faith. Just because it is a hot button topic in the political realm today does not automatically make the statement political. Only those that want to MAKE it a political issue are doing so.

Absolutely. The Catholic Church has enough problems of their own they need to take care of instead of judging people.
You think this is the only one?

A longtime Orange County pastor was charged Monday with child molestation based on allegations that he abused seven children — one as young as 5 — over a 14-year period, according to prosecutors.

McFarland served as a youth pastor at the San Dieguito United Methodist Church in Encinitas from 1978 to 1981 and attended Christian youth camps during his ministry. His first appointment as senior pastor was at Calexico United Methodist Church, where he served from 1981 to 1988, according to prosecutors.

You think he sought out the press or the press sought him out for comment?

Why would a priest deny someone communion, Unless they wanted to make a political statement?....
I was taught any baptized person must be admitted to holy Communion.
Who taught YOU that nonsense? Is that what they say in the copycat religions or did your 8 year old friend that was Catholic say that at a CYO dance?

Was it a political statement when the good priest put it out that he denied Biden communion to the world?

Former Vice President Joe Biden was denied Holy Communion at a Catholic church in South Carolina on Sunday morning because of his views on abortion, a priest said in a statement.

The Rev. Robert Morey said Monday that the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate attended Mass at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Florence and was refused the sacrament because any "public figure who advocates for abortion places himself or herself outside of Church teaching."
It is not his views. His views over the years have been very pro-life. Its his recent "actions" for abortion was the reason.....

I wonder if he spoke to his Bishop before running off of the mouth about an ex VP to the media?
