Union Allies Turn On ‘Pro-Labor’ Biden For Trying To Prevent Looming Rail Strike

The commander-in-chief said in a Monday evening statement that the possible work freeze, which could begin as soon as December 9, would “devastate” the economy ahead of the holiday season. “As a proud pro-labor President, I am reluctant to override the ratification procedures and the views of those who voted against the agreement,” he remarked. “But in this case — where the economic impact of a shutdown would hurt millions of other working people and families — I believe Congress must use its powers to adopt this deal.”

The Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes Division responded in a harsh statement noting that the organization “is deeply disappointed by and disagrees with” the sentiment expressed by Biden. “It is not enough to ‘share workers’ concerns.’ A call to Congress to act immediately to pass legislation that adopts tentative agreements that exclude paid sick leave ignores the Railroad Workers’ concerns,” the group said. “It both denies Railroad Workers their right to strike while also denying them of the benefit they would likely otherwise obtain if they were not denied their right to strike.”

Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen President Michael Baldwin likewise affirmed in an interview with CNN Business that intervention from Congress “prevents us from reaching the end of our process” and “takes away the strength and ability that we have to force bargaining.” The Railway Labor Act, passed in 1926 as the nation became increasingly reliant upon railways, allows Congress to exercise its authority over interstate commerce by preventing rail strikes.

When the truckers were having issues with hauling freight Biden wanted to send in the NG to help drive the trucks. Would he send them in the run the trains .?

Today's big question: Should Congress unilaterally fix Biden's dumb rail deal?

What role should Congress — or for that matter, the federal government in general — play in setting terms between workers and management? Does the nature of the industry matter to that question in a free-market economy where collective bargaining is robust?

The answer to this question may depend on how one approaches the labor impasse in the rail industry and the prospect of a crippling strike. One can approach it morally, legally, economically, and/or politically.

And the answer really should be no in every case — even if just on practical terms.

The House and Senate find themselves in this position because of Joe Biden’s incompetence and dishonesty. Biden intervened in the rail-labor dispute to give a new set of arbitrators several weeks to come up with a solution to an impasse. Biden’s team came up with a deal that somehow failed to address one of the most understandable worker complaints in the mix: a refusal to include any sick days for workers in the national contract. Nevertheless, union negotiators accepted the deal — which also included a 24% overall increase in compensation over the course of the contract — and agreed to send it to membership for a vote.

“To some degree, Martha, that ship has sailed,” Kirby insisted. “I mean, this is not a new tactic for Mr. Putin. This idea of wrongfully detaining Americans in return for, in-to try to get somebody else back or to get some other concession. This is part of Mr. Putin’s playbook. Uh, so we made this calculation, it was a tough decision. Uh, but it was a better, it was a better decision than doing nothing. Because it was either getting Brittney out using Mr. Bout or get nobody out. And I think we can all agree it’s better to have Brittney Griner soon on American soil rather than spending years and years in prison for a crime she didn’t commit.”

So wait a second. He’s saying because it’s “not a new tactic” for Putin, we should just concede to Putin’s demands. And no, I’m not sure that everyone would agree with the decision precisely because it does endanger Americans in the future, not to mention the great danger that the release of Bout presents, as I wrote about earlier. Kirby makes it sound like the Biden team just rolled over because Putin and his people insisted. Yes, they had another choice, which is not to cave, or if they were going to deal with terrorists, get everyone they could. But they made a bad choice all around, caving and allowing themselves to be dictated to by Putin. That even has a broader bad effect just beyond the hostage question itself — it again shows Putin how weak the Biden team is. And just a note, Griner pled guilty to the charge, she wasn’t just pulled off the street, although she certainly was being used as a political pawn in the tensions by Russia.

NBC ran a report that Biden might have had other choices, including that they could have gotten Whelan rather than Griner. But then NBC pulled that report back. We saw NBC do something similar in the Paul Pelosi attack case and it leaves you wondering if the reports were wrong or if they got political heat to pull what was the truth.

Are we to believe the original article just misquoted the government official? Somehow, I seriously doubt that is the case. Rather, it feels like NBC News got a call from the White House and then cleaned things up to push the official narrative, undercutting their own bombshell in the process.

There’s more, though. Whelan’s lawyer was quoted in the same NBC News article as saying that the United States chose Griner because she was the more “humane” choice.

Whelan’s Russian lawyer, Vladimir Zherebenkov, also said that the deal was an exchange of “one to one” and that choosing Griner, 32, appeared “more humane” because she is a woman and an Olympic champion, while Whelan was in the military and it is “easier for him to be in custody.”

Federal Court Blocks Biden Rule That Forces Christian Doctors To Perform Sex Change Surgeries

“The federal government has no business forcing doctors to violate their consciences or perform controversial procedures that could permanently harm their patients,” Luke Goodrich, VP and senior counsel at Becket Law, who represented the plaintiffs in the case, said in a press release.

Goodrich added that the ruling would establish a precedent in favor of religious liberty for future cases involving the issue of doctors performing sex change surgeries.

“Today’s victory sets an important precedent that religious healthcare professionals are free to practice medicine in accordance with their consciences and experienced professional judgment,” Goodrich said. “The government’s attempt to force doctors to go against their consciences was bad for patients, bad for doctors, and bad for religious liberty.”

I've seen media reports down playing the arms dealer. Saying he's been in prison for so long he's lost his contacts. Democrats trying to say he's not as bad as we think.

You don't forget how to ride a bicycle.
I would also say he more than likely socked away a few bucks so that when he gets home he has a grub stake to start business again.

In Joe Biden’s Woke America, Enemies Exploit Our Achilles Heel

Since Joe Biden came into office, his administration has prioritized wokeness over American values, and our enemies are using it to their advantage.

Tuesday’s prisoner swap of WNBA star Brittney Griner for Russia’s ‘Merchant of Death’ Viktor Bout is the latest example of President Joe Biden’s commitment to promoting far-left causes at the expense of the safety and well-being of U.S. citizens.

Our enemies see the one-sided trade deals based on identity politics and no longer respect American power, opening up a world where U.S. citizens are not safe at home or abroad.

Biden adviser calls investor refusal to ramp up shale drilling ‘un-American’

Amos Hochstein, the State Department’s senior adviser for energy security, criticized recent stock buyback schemes by ExxonMobil and other companies, urging them to ramp up drilling as Americans face high gas prices fueled by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“I think that the idea that financiers would tell companies in the United States not to increase production and to buy back shares and increase dividends when the profits are at all-time highs is outrageous,” Hochstein told the British newspaper.

“It is not only un-American, it is so unfair to the American public,” he added. “You want to pay dividends, pay dividends. You want to pay shareholders, pay shareholders. You want to get bonuses, do that, too. You could do all of that and still invest more. We are asking you to increase production and seize the moment.”

“Never underestimate Joe’s ability to f— things up,” president Obama said once.

Biden has also inflamed both other proto-superpowers, Russia and China. Biden and our useless State Department have gotten the U.S. into a senseless proxy war with Russia, which among other things got Putin’s best friend’s daughter murdered by terrorists, and has disrupted the entire world with ineffective sanctions. Then Biden inflamed the Chinese by sending Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan and in June started heavily sanctioning China for human rights abuses.

The Saudis have now just joined the biggest anti-American economic alliance, that was created and is run by our two largest enemies, both of which we are now fighting with, all because Joe Biden’s entire foreign policy playbook consists of a single page titled, “punch them in the face.”

But the Saudi’s didn’t only join BRICS. They also joined the SCO, which is sort of Russia and China’s budding alternative to NATO. And the Saudis also signed a $30 billion oil deal with China. In other words, oil-rich Saudi Arabia just went all-in with Russia and China.

Even before Friday’s announcement, most financial analysts described the prospect of Saudi jointing BRICS as “momentous,” “game changing,” and speculated that it could end the dollar’s hegemony.

The Biden Admin Overestimated Recent Job Growth By Over 10,000%, Fed Report Says

The U.S. added just 10,500 net new jobs in the second quarter of 2022, a far cry from the 1,121,500 estimated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) monthly report on state-level data known as the Current Employment Situation (CES), according to the Philadelphia Fed. By using more comprehensive data from the BLS Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW), which samples roughly 11 million businesses compared to the 670,000 measured by the monthly CES, the Philadelphia Fed is able to make revisions to initial employment estimates, the regional bank reported.

They keep counting people returning to their old jobs as new jobs. Just a lot of dishonesty.

Biden investigates school library for removing child pornography

The graphic I would like to display on this post is too graphic and bordering on child porn as it depicts a child fellating an older boy. Twitter displayed it here. It is two pages in the book Gender Queer.

Biden's pushing to force the Granbury, Texas, school district to make the book available at its library to children. This is part of the recruiting effort -- grooming -- by the LGBT wing of the Democrat Party.

The campaign began with the American Library Association selecting this obscure comic book (marketed as a graphic novel because its paper quality is better than most comic books) as the library association's book of the year in 2020.

This allows liberals to parade the book around as if it were great literature. These are the same liberals who have tried to ban Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer. The left praised To Kill a Mockingbird for 60 years and rightly so. Now it is considered racist.

Biden is killing El Paso

But for many the free ride stops in El Paso itself. The federal government just dumps the migrants on the streets with a wave and a nod, and the migrants are left to fend for themselves. These migrants are “released to El Paso,” which really just means dumped onto the locals.

The scenes are horrify, as you can see in this Fox News report.

It’s not only Fox News that is reporting the problem, though. Other networks are covering the crisis, although they are less willing to show how awful the conditions are for both the migrants and the residents of the city.

I went to the El Paso website and they have an entire section dedicated to their efforts, and it makes for depressing reading. I’ll share with you some selected answers to the FAQs. The list is too long to repeat it all:

How many people arrive each day?
According to Customs and Border Patrol officials, an average of 1,500 migrants present themselves daily to CBP in the El Paso region. Once processed, approximately 800 – 1000 are released to local NGOs. They are also released to the City of El Paso. Once we receive them, we take them through the triage process at our welcome center. There, we ensure we welcome them, feed them, give them water, and help get them to their destination through transport like chartered buses. We also help shelter them through hotels and through our support with the NGOs. Additionally, we also support our NGOs by providing staff members through the staffing we provide to these non-profits.

The EPA’s Latest Regulation Could Devastate The Trucking Industry

EPA Administrator Michael Regan said that the rule would protect “historically overburdened communities,” that are disproportionately affected by trucking emissions as truck freight routes are often located near “vulnerable populations,” according to the press release. Nitrogen dioxide gas can exacerbate respiratory diseases like asthma and form acid rain in the atmosphere which can damage lakes and forests, according to the EPA.

“The EPA is happy to go easy on big trucking since they support regulations that will harm their smaller competitors far more,” Steve Milloy, Energy and Environmental Legal Institute senior legal fellow and former Trump administration EPA transition team member, told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Regan announced the new rule in front of an electric garbage truck produced by Mack Trucks and following his remarks, Mack spokesman John Mies stated that his company supports the administration’s zero emissions targets for trucks and is working to cut “dangerous” emissions produced by diesel trucks, according to CNN.
