Biden Announces War On Guns In ‘Education’ Plan, Wants Far-Left Semi-Auto Ban

In his education plan, Biden stated that he wants to ban semi-automatic firearms, despite the fact that the 1994 assault weapon ban had virtually no impact in reducing crime. Here's Biden's full statement:
Defeat the National Rifle Association – again – in order to make our schools safer. Parents shouldn’t have to worry about whether their kids will come home from school, and students shouldn’t have to sacrifice themselves for their friends days before graduation. We cannot let gun violence become an acceptable part of American life. Biden knows that arming teachers isn’t the answer; instead, we need rational gun laws. As President, he will secure passage of gun legislation to make our students safer, and he knows he can do it because he’s defeated the National Rifle Association twice before. He’ll begin by again championing legislation to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines – bans he authored in 1994. In the months ahead, he will release additional proposals to address the gun violence epidemic in our country.
"Biden’s plan overlooks two very important issues. First, the deadliest school shooting of the 21st century–Virginia Tech, April 16, 2007– was carried out with handguns, not 'assault weapons,'" Hawkins continued in his report. "That horrid attack perfectly illustrated the Rockefeller Institute of Government’s findings mass shooters prefer handguns over rifles by a margin of three to one."

"Secondly, Biden fails to note that school shootings occur in places where the most gun controls exist; places where law-abiding individuals who otherwise carry a gun for self-defense are mandated to disarm for gun-free zone policies," Hawkins concluded. "These and other gun controls already guarantee that an attacker does not have to worry about facing armed resistance."

Biden declares LGBTQ rights his No. 1 legislative priority

“It’s wrong and it is immoral what they’re doing,” Biden said of the Trump administration. Among other Trump polices, he cited attempts to bar transgender troops in the U.S. military, allow individuals in the medical field to refuse to treat LGBTQ individuals, and allow homeless shelters to refuse transgender occupants.

“Just like with racial justice and women’s rights, we are seeing pushback against all the progress we’ve made toward equality,” Biden said.

The Equality Act would address many such discriminatory practices. It recently passed the Democratic-run House, but will not become law under Trump and the Republican Senate. That means LGBTQ residents in dozens of states are still subject to various forms of discrimination that are either specifically allowed or not barred by state law.

“It will be the first thing I ask to be done,” Biden said.

They won't stop until they reach the point where an LGBTWXYZ says to a straight person: "We're going to go on a date, and then we'll go back to my place and have sex, and if you refuse, I'll sue you and win." And even then, they probably won't stop with that. Who knows what the end goal is for these people.

Biden Renews The ‘Keep Your Plan’ Lie With Obamacare 2.0

‘If you like your health care plan, your employer-based plan, you can keep it. If in fact you have private insurance, you can keep it,” said Joe Biden in Iowa on Monday as he unveiled his plan to turbocharge Obamacare.

Biden’s lie is worse, since his Obamacare 2.0 would result in tens of millions forced off employer plans they like and into the Obamacare exchanges, where the only choice would soon be government-run Medicare-style insurance. The only difference between Biden’s proposal and the more openly radical “Medicare for All” scheme is that Biden’s would take a little longer to get to single payer.

Two elements of Biden’s plan, in particular, ensure this end result.

The first piece is the former vice president’s plan to extend Obamacare’s subsidies to everyone, regardless of income. As it stands, Obamacare’s premium subsidies phase out as income rises, and disappear entirely once a family’s income hits 400% of the poverty level.

To sweeten the deal, Biden would set the maximum anyone could pay for insurance on the individual market at 8.5% of their income, down from 9.86%. What’s more, he’d base the subsidies on the cost of “gold” plans, which offer much lower out-of-pocket costs than the current benchmark “silver” plans, and as a result, have higher premiums.

So Biden’s offer is more generous health care for everyone in the individual market at lower costs.

Biden: Constitution Doesn't Say 'Anyone Can Own a Weapon,' Each Amendment Has a 'Limitation'

Former Vice President Joe Biden, the frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination, said that U.S. Constitution does not allow "anyone" to own a weapon and does not give citizens the right to buy "any kind of weapon" they want because every amendment has limitations.

Biden positioned himself as the only Democratic candidate who took on the National Rifle Association nationally and won, citing the temporary assault weapons ban that was passed when former President Bill Clinton was in office. It expired under former President George W. Bush and Congress did not renew it when former President Barack Obama was in office.

Biden has been moving his statements to the left because he needs to appease the progressive wing of the party. His own legislative history shows that he would not govern to that extreme. But yes, he would be more left on gun issues than Trump. The reality is that Trump's own erratic behavior is making a Democrat win in 2020 a bigger possibility. He should be cruising to re-election based on stock market, unemployment, and economic numbers. But he isn't because he can be his own worst enemy. Biden would be the least objectionable of the democratic field. Harris, Warren and some of the other lower rated candidates have made it perfectly clear that they will use executive order to enact gun control legislation that goes much further than this nation has ever seen. They make Biden's gun positions look conservative by comparison. The problem Biden has is that he is doing more to torpedo his own candidacy then anyone of his challenger could do.

MoveOn Blows Up the Myth That Joe Biden Is a Moderate

The most progressive platform in Democrat Party history. An opportunity for the big, structural changes this country needs. For the uninitiated, progressives are not your grandpa’s Democrats. They are not made in the mold of John F. Kennedy Jr. They are more like Franklin D. Roosevelt on steroids.

Commentator David Sirota put it this way:

I often get asked what the difference between a “liberal” and a “progressive” is. The questions from the media on this subject are always something like, “Isn’t ‘progressive’ just another name for ‘liberal’ that people want to use because ‘liberal’ has become a bad word?”
The answer, in my opinion, is no – there is a fundamental difference when it comes to core economic issues. It seems to me that traditional “liberals” in our current parlance are those who focus on using taxpayer money to help better society. A “progressive” are those who focus on using government power to make large institutions play by a set of rules.
His answer is correct. Progressives want to use the power of government to make large institutions do what they want. You see their organized campaign to bring Facebook to heel. You’ve watched them bring city and state governments to their knees to ‘reimagine’ and defund police departments. They brought these institutions in line without government power. Do you want to imagine what they would accomplish with it?

Biden’s 2020 Party Platform Proposal Seeks to Abolish America’s Suburban Communities

For instance, in the “executive orders” section of the platform proposal, Biden/Sanders note that Biden would, “Implement the Obama-Biden Administration’s Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Rule requiring communities receiving certain federal funding to proactively examine housing patterns and identify and address policies that have discriminatory effects.”

The Biden/Sanders platform also scolds Trump, and says Biden would “Roll back Trump Administration policies gutting fair lending and fair housing protections.”

In another section, the platform states Biden would: “Ensure effective and rigorous enforcement of the Fair Housing Act and the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act. Hold financial institutions accountable for discriminatory practices in the housing market.”

With a longer explanation, the platform states:

Democrats will vigorously enforce the Fair Housing Act and the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and hold lenders accountable for discriminatory practices. We will use the federal government to enforce settlements against discriminatory lenders, and require communities to proactively review housing patterns and remedy local policies that have a discriminatory effect. Democrats will give local elected officials tools and resources to combat gentrification, penalize predatory lending practices, and maintain home ownership, including exploring targeted rental relief when exorbitant rent increases force long-term residents from their communities and tackling persistent racial bias in appraisals that contributes to the racial wealth gap.
If you are unsure of what all this means, the Obama AFFH rules would force every single American city or town to add section 8 and so-called “low-income” housing in every community.
