I heard that the new owners never renewed the liquor license or something...so they are closed for like a month...But they will probably lose the drive thru for good because it was grandfathered in or something.....Does anyone know whats up?????

They unfortunately did not refile for their license in time and have lost it for about 3 weeks. They WILL loose the drive through since the license was cancelled and they will have to apply for a brand new one. They are still open, but not serving any alcohol. For those that play WTP, they are still hosting the games, but serving only soda. Its unfortunate this had to happen, but James is hoping to get some major improvements completed during this time. :larry:

Of all the stupid laws in this state, we have drive-thrus at liquor stores. They and cell phone use while driving should be banned.

Why should Drive-thrus be banned?

It promotes drinking and driving among the stupid.

How does the drive thru promote drinking and driving?? Like you can't walk in and buy it and then open it up when you get back in the car??? You can't drive up and order a mixed drink like you are at a bar.

Liquor laws tend to vary by county; it's not really a state issue.

What's the difference between somebody walking in to buy a 12 pack, then getting back in their car, vs. handing them the 12 pack directly into the car? I've used the drive-thru at ABC a few times, and not once did I crack open a beer till I got home. I generally have only used it when it was so friggen hot out I didn't feel like leaving the comfort of the A/C in the car.
