Had some very nice looking strawberries for $3.99 for 2lbs. There were plenty of nice looking boxes of them left (no mold, perfectly ripe, and not smushed).

I got some beautiful strawberries about 2-weeks ago from Food Lion. I left them in the fridge until they grew strange stuff on them.

If they're still buy the local stuff. They were nice and sweet. Unlike the ones usually shipped from Calif they weren't hard. Going rate is $3.50 a carton.

The Amish have had some awesome strawberries this year And the Old Man that sits on the south bound side of 235 just south of Morganza Turner Rd has had some pretty dang good ones too

Yup some of mine were Amish grown.
McKay's was probably California grown.

Zimmerman's (Loveville) had some great ones last weekend. We finished them off before we hit Leonardtown.

Zimmerman's is one of the places I bought strawberries...then I made my way north from there. My wife loves the bread that they sell.
