Black Squirrels

On that note, of talking about genetic mutations in color, has anyone ever caught a Palimeno Trout? (Aka, golden rainbow trout) Just caught my first one last weekend

We had a hairless squirrel this spring.

Used to see quite a few black squirrels up in the laurel area they were everywhere in my sister in laws development she lived in. Saw this story about them on line first imported from Canada and have spread throughout the D.C. area and the suburbs.
An Exotic Evolution

Saw two today in the CRE. First time i've ever seen them.

I saw one near the 4 way stop at Crystal Rock and Sandy Wash Circle and stopped to look at him. When I took off, a couple in a car that had just come through the intersection spotted him and stopped to look at him!
There is also one outside the Naughty Gull in Solomons that I have seen 2X.

When I worked at National Naval Medical Center, there was a black squirrel and an albino white squirrel on campus. It was pretty cool. Never saw it before and haven't seen one since.

We used to see these in Virginia and figured it was the same one because it was always in the same area. I've never seen one on this side of the river.
