Yes.....caught one solo, on top of a screen door with a jar...........poor baby.

:lmao: we have had a few that have found their way in our basement and I rarely kill anything, I try to catch and release, but these things scare the heck out of me, I tried to put a plastic cup on it and caught me by surprise how high it jumped so it took me a couple of minutes to get the nerve up again to try and catch it, but I would like a better idea than my way because, they really give me the heebie jeebies.

I was always told it was bad luck to kill a cricket? :shrug:

My mom said it was good luck to have them in your house :ohwell: not so lucky staying up listening to the bastage chirp all over the place. I say you can kill them, unless they're in your house, then you're screwed :lmao:

I HATE those camel crickets! We call them cave crickets here and they are freakin nasty! To put it with a black widow to boot! :jameo:

Camel Back Cricketts do not make any sounds. They'll do the same type of damage such as eating linen and carpet fibers, but they don't make any sounds. The black ones do however.

To keep these pests from invading your home, get one of those bottles of pest repellant that attaches to your garden hose. Spray the stuff all around your house up to about 10' away. Do this about once a month and you can prevent this from happening in the future. And it will not harm pets!!!
