I found the best way to do it is to do it urself. We had it done once (spray on), and the stuff did not last that long and it was also quit expensive.

DO NOT use Seal Pros....they completely F'd up our driveway!

Just had Seal Pros do my driveway 10 days ago, it looks great no problems. I did have them do my driveway about 4 years ago, back when they first started wasn't to impressed then, but there recent work that Ive seen looked good.

I do know the driveway paving crew they have (Dean and Billy) are un-frickin' believable with a paving machine. I am not sure if they handle the sealing portion, but Seal-Pro in this area did change employees about 2 years ago... that might be the reason of a better job.

Normally for a sealing job I do it myself - go to Mechanicsville Building Supply and get SeaBoard Asphalt Sealer - best stuff out there... They have the LN-11, but at $40+ a bucket it is e-x-p-e-n-s-i-v-e... I would call Sonny and have him order the TE-3 or TE-36 which is really good stuff compared to what you would get at Lowes or Home Depot.

You can always call SeaBoard and find another distributor that might have the TE-36 or TE-3 in stock... believe me, it is well worth the hunt to find this stuff. I did my mothers driveway (HEAVY traffic) 4+ years ago and it will need done again this fall.

I use to do it myself, but OHG getting to old to be bothered, use to get the best stuff I could find to do it with, then would try to recruit a son to come over and help with it, start early in the morning would usually take us about 2 hours and at least 3 buckets of sealer, wouldnt think it would take that long but it did, guess we were just slow. After buying the materials and sealer was putting out maybe $75, for just over another $100, I can pay someone else do it.
The guy who gave me the estimate this year was Grant, back for 4-5 years ago when Seal Pros bought out the company from some guy in Huntingtown, Jay was the owner then and still is, back then Jay, Grant and some high school kids working during the summer sealed my driveway. Now Jay and Grant I guess have moved up, and some hispanics did the sealing this time.
