It's not good news.....

But if you keep a video or game beyond one week after the due date, you're buying it. That's the plan the video retail leader plans to implement on Jan. 1. <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 align=right border=0><TBODY><TR><TD></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>


Blockbuster Chairman and CEO John Antioco said the move is the biggest customer benefit (thats so nice of them) the video retail leader has ever offered.


Blockbuster will still have due dates for return of movies and games. But as of Jan. 1, Blockbuster will give customers a one-week grace period at no additional charge.


Beyond that, Blockbuster will automatically sell the renter the movie or game, minus the rental fee. If customers decide they don't want the video, they have 30 days to return it for full credit to their account -- minus a restocking fee. <!--stopindex-->
