Blonde Handywoman

A blonde, wanting to earn some extra money, decided to hire herself out as a "handywoman" and started canvassing a nearby well-to-do neighborhood.
She went to the front door of the first house, and asked the owner if he had any odd jobs for her to do.
"Well, I guess I could use somebody to paint my porch, " he said, "How much will you charge me?"
The blonde quickly responded, "How about $50?"
The man agreed and told her that the paint and everything she would need was in the garage.
The man's wife, hearing the conversation, said to her husband, "Does she realize that our porch goes all the way around the house?"
He responded, "That's a bit cynical, isn't it?"
The wife replied, "You're right. I guess I'm starting to believe all those 'dumb blonde' jokes we've been getting by e-mail lately."
A short time later, the blonde came to the door to collect her money.
"You're finished already?" the husband asked.
"Yes," the blonde replied, "and I had paint leftover, so I gave it two coats." Impressed, the man reached into his pocket for the $50 and handed it to her.
"And by the way," the blonde added, "it's not a Porch, it's a Ferrari".

Thanks for posting it Dondi. I had not seen the joke, thought it was funny, and certainly wouldn't have seen it because I don't search through three years worth of jokes on the forums. :howdy:

I realize there are a lot of reposts. But no, I didn't go digging up to see if this joke was posted in the last three years. I actually found it on another site and laughed my azz off. Seeing how I never seen this joke on this forum in the short time I've been on these boards, I thought I might post it.

I come here fairly regularly, and I normally avoid posting jokes that I know I've seen, but I'm not the type of person who spends a great deal of time using the "search" feature to see if such joke has been posted in the past. And as someone has pointed out, they haven't seen the joke either, so posting it was IMO a good thing.

When I post a joke, which is rarely, I try to post good ones. I merit this joke as one off the funnier I've seen here. As a matter of fact, it's so funny, I might even be inclined to repost it several months from now so that new members can enjoy it also.

Am I being overly defensive? Perhaps. But I think every once in a while, a little perspective needs to be shed on the matter of reposts. I, for one, don't mind it too much as long as its not overdone. One must realize that people come and go on forums, so what might be old hat for one, might be fresh for another.

So for those that have the urge to point out that a joke has been posted sometime in the distant, or not so distant past, especially if its good, I say: Piss off!
