The Blood Bank is desperatly seeking blood donors. the requirements are the dog must be 35 lbs or more, 9 months to 7 1/2 and not on medications. There are some pretty good benefits that come along with it, including a free heartworm testing. heck that 60.00 right there (or whatever your vet charges)

If anyone is interested reply here, i will be posting more info as i get it.

Probably a stupid question but how does this effect the dog giving blood?

Where is this happening?

Requirements for Becoming a Blood Donor
 Donors must weigh at least 35 pounds, be in good health, and between the ages of 9 months and 7 1/2 years.

 Dogs must be maintained on heartworm preventive and must be current with their regular veterinarian’s preventive health and vaccination schedule. In addition, they should have had no prior serious disease or take any long-term medication. (There are a few exceptions, so call for details.)

 Make a commitment to donate five to seven times over the course of one year. (Dogs can safely donate as often as every three weeks.)
