My baby did the very same thing. Take a bath with her, and she will see that it is nothing to be afraid of.

Wow I never had that problem with mine. Was the water the right temp for her? Did you talk to her? Did you keep on hand on her so she felt secure? Other than that I can't think of why she would cry. It always made my kids sleepy.........

Good luck with the next bath!

I never had any problem with my first baby. However, with my second baby, he screamed bloody murder even during sponge bathing. The water was right temp, talked to him, kept a hand on him, etc. I found that when taking a bath with him, he felt better and didn't cry because I was in it with him. I even "nursed" him in the bathtub. Actually, he found his way to my nipple as I was trying to wash his back. :lmao:

Ever since then, he doesn't cry during bathing time anymore. For some reason, it comforted him knowing that I am there to protect and wash him at the same time.

congratulations.

my newborns screamed at bathtime too. I would take baths and nurse them in the tub, this helped for mine. I would take the carseat and 2 towels in the bathroom, one for baby to lay/sit on after bath and wrap up in, and one for me. Once baby was bathed, nursed,, spit up and washed off again, then wrapped, into carseat, then I'd get out and into a robe. dress little one, then myself.

I know how you feel, my husband and I have 3 kids and out of the 3 only one was a "bath screamer". Our little one loved bath time..she still does! LOL

:poorbaby: I can't really relate , though it's never fun trying to bathe 100+ lb furry babies... (now we do drop-offs :yay:)

But seriously, the idea of bathing with baby sounds wonderful and very soothing...

Good luck :flowers:

:huggy: My hubby and I count our lucky stars that ours actually likes bath time. I was doing the shower thing with her, sitting on the little seat in there with her on my lap and using the sprayer to wash her. But since she is starting to kick and move more, I got her a baby tub. I was really afraid that she would start to hate bath time since she wasn't getting the skin to skin contact, but she does really good. Hope that yours gets better with time. :huggy:
