Hot 99.5 is giving away "I ate a Cicada" T-shirts to anyone that will eat a barbecued cicada :roflmao:
Ripani said recent newspaper articles extolling the tastiness of cicada cuisine should have warned people that dining on the bugs can be dangerous for some people.
:lmao: Yes, they should have a disclaimer, but why would you assume that a bug is okay to eat? Shouldn't you check with someone first? And maybe one bug, but thirty damn cicadas in one sitting? Some people are just too weird

On a different note, I haven't even seen one cicada, and I was so excited about them. When I lived in NC they were everywhere (17 yrs ago of course). I want some cicadas :tantrum

If I am still in Southern Maryland in 17 years, I hope the cicadas eat me alive

Milo brought one in this morning, minus a head. I guess now that he is on that low fat diet, he has resorted to eating bugs outside.

Awesome :yay:
Doesn't say if they're alive or not. If they were dead I suppose I could always stash them in someone's car/lunch/shoe to scare them

I work in Calvert, haven't seen any. Haven't seen any in Lex Park, or my house, south of La Plata. I'm going to Tennessee this weekend, I wonder if they're chillin' there...

Oh I remember those guys fondly. Back when I was 5 and had no idea what they were I use to play with them all the time. Plus, I think it would be cool to have bugs everywhere. I'd feel like I was in a sci-fi movie :yay:
