oh wait thats road salt dust. This state keeps on impressing me with it's "sky is falling" approach to winter. Guess we could all ride and pretend we are in the World's Fastest Indian movie...heheh.
That's what I was doing Sunday coming down Rt.4 from Annapolis. It helped to pretend I was in the dessert with the sun beating down on me as I rode through the clouds of salt kicked up by the trucks. There are places where you can't see the white lines dividing the lanes
My lid off to ya APS. I'm not riding in that crap. Too hard ta keep the rust at bay on this ol'girl as is...heheh. I saw what looked like slush on the road shoulder but it's actually excess salt. Be careful out there cowboy at them sandy/salty intersections. We need a good all day rain.
Didn't start riding till I was at my last duty station in Hawaii. Long story
Think there's an annual peanut festival ride down in that area. Goes around the Dismal Swamp. That's a cool place, very primative. Think it's the only untouched old-growth forrest in the mid atlantic region.
Haven't been down there for that but did ride down during the Pungo strawberry festival. Very heavy traffic, hard on the air-cooled knuckle draggers such as myself. Water-heads seemed to fair well though.
