Bmw M Roadster

Wow!. Just took the car in pic below out for a test drive. Mind blowing.

2000 M, regeared to 3.73, lowered 1.5", and with a heavily modified engine that sports a centrifugal supercharger among other things.

Punching the gas pedal in 2nd gear was a mistake...felt like somebody rearended the car going 60 mph. :yikes:

Well...did you buy it?

'tis parked in my driveway now.

But no...I wish. I'm the intermediary for a good friend that lives in Georgia who bought it from an active-duty gent living in Chesapeake Beach but now shipping out to Germany tomorrow. So I got to check it out and then I'm storing it for a month or so....with a few rides here and there. ;-)

I bet that thing would best my Pantera up to 80 or 90 mph...but I'd dust it after that.

M3? Looks more like an M Roadster to me.... but yeah, even stock, that thing should be a hoot, breathed on, no idea how that feels, like an M3, only with lots of added lightness........

Ever since buying the 97 328i for the boy to drive, I have been more of the thought that my next car might be something from the M guys. Love the SRT, but the next ride shold maybe be a bit smaller, since the kids are grown. The 1M draws my eye, and by the time I'm ready, might be affordable
