Stop Staring!!!!!
In Breton bay near Abell's Wharf.

Fireboard dispatching for a boat in distress. Non Emergency.

Elderly male on a boat. Disoriented. Ran to close to the shoer on the low tide. Boat hung up on a sand bar.

8:09 Boat 5 is underway. They boat see the Boat at this time.

8:17 Fire units have boat in sight. Fire Board is going to make a Public Service to the baot owner and ask him to fire off a flare. The boat does appear to be in sight of one of the fire boats though. They want him to shoot off a flare to confirm they have the right boat in sight.

8:20 Caller advises his GPS came on and tells him he is at Flood Creek. Raft 1 is now underway.

8:27 Boat 5 and Raft 1 are on the scene, will attempt to tow him off the sand bar.

8:31 Units confirm subject is OK. Boat five is back in service. Subject has been towed off the sandbar and is following Raft 1 back up into Breton Bay.

My cuz, said he is hung up on a sand bar......:yay:

ocean king.

Yep, They said he was OK. Fire Board dispatching a boat out of Company 5 to try to help him off the sand bar. They think he is in the Area of Huggins Point somewhere off of River Winds Drive. He has been advised to launch a flare to pinpoint his exact loaction once the boat is launched from St. Patrick's Creek. Utility 1/Raft 1 are responding. Boat 5 is also working the issue. Unsure where they launched from.

There was a boat in distress on Saturday night near 7D. Any news on this? I work near the ramp and often see the rescue boats go out.
