Boat in Distress

Jeff

Stop Staring!!!!!
Mouth of the St. Mary's River.

Beachville Rd. & Greyson Rd. Possibly in the area of Chickencock Creek

Speedboat. 4 people onboard. 2 children onboard. Coast Guard responding with no known ETA

1544: Fire Units on scene don't see the CG as yet.

1548: Coast Guard on the scene

1553: CG is pulled up next to the boat in distress at this time.

I have been in/out of the office here so probably missed quite a bit. Still not exactly sure what the nature of the distress is/was.

1555: CG has a line to the boat and is towing the boat to a local boat ramp

I just doublechecked the recorded audio.

I am not sure but it 'appeared' that the boat had mechanical issues. Called in a distress call after the sun started setting and temps beginning to drop because of the two small children on board. Fire Units reported everyone on board were OK.
