They built a bocce court at Chancellor's Run, and now I see Parks and Rec is offering free 8wk summer sessions

It's fun to watch some of the bocce games played in the Little Italy section of Baltimore. At least you don't need high tech equipment to play.

I like bocce, and especially on the beach. A restaurant where I grew up had a bocce court, and I grew up around Italians and lived in an Italian community in my late teens/early 20's

Funny thing. When I saw them "building" something at the park, I thought it looked like a bocce court and was surprised that they would build one there. I asked the county guys what they were building, and they said they were given plans and said they didn't know what it was but that it's called hibachi

It is a strange addition, because I doubt many people have a bocce ball set. Maybe it will take off. There is something else that is a long, narrow concrete path with a half circle of plastic at the end of it. I have no idea what that is

I played Bocce when I livedin Italy - lots of fun. The Special Olympics has Bocce as one of their sports, too. It's quite popular.
