Attorney General Body-Worn Camera Footage from January’s Fatal Police-Involved Shooting in Crofton Released

BALTIMORE (March 22, 2022) – The Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Office of the Attorney General today released body-worn camera footage from the fatal police-involved shooting that occurred on January 30, 2022, in Anne Arundel County. The decedent was identified as 20-year-old Dyonta Quarles, Jr., of Crofton, Maryland.

The IID will generally release body camera footage or dashboard camera footage within 14 days of an incident. The release of the body-worn camera footage in this incident was delayed to ensure witness interviews were not compromised by their viewing of external evidence.
