I like his moustache. Just like mine, i.e. all white, with the rest on top still the same old color.

BTW, I think that he is needed to at least attempt to square those imcompetents at the UN.

Reactions to Bolton's U.N. Appointment

Too many stupid ones to post them all, but this is probably the worst:
The Windbag from Mass said:
"The abuse of power and the cloak of secrecy from the White House continues. ... It's a devious maneuver that evades the constitutional requirement of Senate consent and only further darkens the cloud over Mr. Bolton's credibility at the U.N." — Sen. Edward M. Kennedy
A Look at Presidential Recess Appointments...
President Bush: 106 recess appointments, including Bolton
President Clinton: 140 recess appointments over two terms
The first President Bush made 77 recess appointments over one term, and President Reagan made 243 over two terms

Looks like Bush is about on par with Clinton and Bush Sr, but far shy of Reagan. Not quite the "abuse of power" that Kennedy speaks of. Of course, all they had to do was give him a vote and he wouldn't have done this.

Kennedy made an outlandish, unqualified comment about a Bush decision? Shocking! Anyhow, that type of thing (crazy reactions by Libs) is the only reason I would have liked to have seen Bolton nominated via Congressional vote. Bush was in a tough spot either way. And I think someone like Bolton is needed at the U.N. He may not be able to single-handedly correct the fundamental flaws there, but hopefully he can create enough of a stir that things get better with time. Annan is already going down in a fireball, and that's a good first step.

I wish I was a Senator, because any time Kennedy said anything I would say "Hey, didn't you KILL THAT GIRL YOU DISGUSTING #######!?!?" Then smack him in the back of the head so hard he stumbled more than usual.

That would be the sh**. I would be like the Republican version of Harry Reid myself. I could say any dumb crap about Democrats and some of it would stick.

"Al Gore wants socialized medicine. Do you want an android deciding your health care needs? I don't think so."

"We all know medicine is socialized in Hell. They all get treated equally when they complain of aches and pains. Do you really want that Hillary Clinton pitchforking your health care? We know where she gets her ideas."

"Kennedy made an outlandish, unqualified comment about a Bush decision? Shocking!"

So, what else is new?!?

So is the statement that it was an abuse of power. The real abuse was holding up his appointment by the demonrats in the Senate.

This is the best thing that could have ever happened to the UN.
