Okay that is the county of Roanoke and the City of Roanoke, but I see no mention of the small town of Roanoke in this post that you brought up in your early post. Did it disappear?

Now for further pondering, you are comparing the amenities for a locale of about 50 square miles and a population base of 95,000 to that of a locale of 360 square miles and a population base of under 90,000. Since St. Mary's is 7 times the physical size of the city of Roanoke with less population does it really seem that strange that we do not have the same amenities as a city of that size?

This is the proverbial apples and oranges comparison that you use often. Why not look at some of the other cities in Maryland. Annapolis and Gaithersburg have about 36,000 city residents, Frederick has about 53,000 as does Gaithersburg, and Rockville comes in at about 47,000. I would suspect that these cities would hold more of a comparative relationship with Roanoke even though they are all significantly smaller.

So go ahead and compare what there is in Roanoke with what there is in St. Mary's if that makes you feel any better, but anyone with even the slightest hint of intelligence will see that the comparison is foolhardy at best and simply absurd.

Question...

If you didn't like most of an area, save for a reason or two :janey:... And, you don't really make an attempt to branch out with supportive and uplifting enlightenment, save once in a while :janey:... And, your ties aren't really even here :janey:.... Why not find a forum to spread the love locally?

Or email the object of your attention?

p.s. This is hypothetical, after all...

Please show me where I have spent an entire thread trying to convince someone that something sucks, besides this thread, where I'm trying to convince ST that he sucks.
I only made a statement that a store sucks. it is the inability of this board to understand that not everything in somd is perfect that has made this thread so long.

I don't recall anyone saying this area is perfect. I recall on many occasions you pointing out how awful it is, though.

Yes, you are a miserable person. You have been the "bash southern md" ring leader since the day you signed on to somd.com. If you have an opinion, great. Your problem is you can't just put your opinion out there and let it go. You have to try to convince everyone else that they are wrong because they dont' agree with you.
Actually the bookstore idea is the first time in quite awhile that I have said anything negatively. Actually, from the karma statements and the IMs, most have noticed a much more positive attitude on here from me and are appreciative for it.

You're absolutely correct. I was one of those people. I've given you the benefit of the doubt sevaral times, and each time you've shown your true colors. I'm embarrassed that I ever gave you the benefit of a doubt. It won't happen again.

They didn't have either of the books I was looking for, but they were more than willing to order them for me. However, I can order them online and get them in the same amount of time for slightly less even with shipping.

The clinical section of the bookstore consisted of tons of books on ADD and ADH, and Dr. Phil books, otherwise they really didn't have anything along those lines. The bookstore is nice and does have a wide variety of selection, and the prices are reasonable.
