I live near the Indian Head Naval Base and today there was a loud BOOM followed by our house shaking. This happened three times within 15 minutes. Does anyone know if they are doing testing at the Indian Head facility and who I can call to inquire about this?

Its a Naval Ordnance Station. They are either testing or disposing of Ordnance.

Thanks for the responses. This has happened before a year or so ago and right after that one, we noticed cracks in some of the dry wall. I called the base and was told it wasn't them it was the Wilson Bridge Project, but since I live almost 30 miles from the bridge I found it hard to believe. I am wondering who I can contact if I see more cracks tonight.

Well they shouldn't blame the bridge this time. When they dispose of ordnance (bombs, shells, etc) it'll definitely shake the house. They do normally issue warnings in the local papers when they're planning things like that. I'd call the base again if you see any cracks. They should have some sort of public affairs office you can talk to about the problem.

I can feel a few almost everyday. I am in Marbury. It's never been so bad that it messed anything up here though. (I am directly across the river from the EOD school. )
