Parallel this to the MoCo couple that child's protective service hounded for allowing their kids to walk unaccompanied a block to the local playground. I doubt anyone responsible for ditching this kid will end up behind bars. Somehow dragging your kid 3,000 miles is courageous but giving your US child chores to do around the house is borderline child abuse.
