Well, my dear, I remember when my neighbor gal got an 8-track player. It was so exciting! I was in 7th grade.

I had Blondie's "Parallel Lines" on LP.

Once I had a love, and it was a gas...

AND the B-52s first album as well.

Rock Loooooo-obster :dude:
Mom had an 8-track player in the car and one in the house. I used to listen to all her old stuff, but when I was 8 or 9 I got my very first 8-track cassette...Rod Stewart.

Nice lady!
Ohhhh I used to get in big trouble when my father would call and get a busy signal. Big big trouble. I could hear his wrath over the phone lines, made me wonder if C&P put a choke on the line.
My grandparents lived right behind us and they used to call ALL the time. It was crazy. I'd get in trouble for the busy signal. Then they decided a flickering porch light, on and off a hundred times, would be my signal to get off the phone. I had to sit and watch their back door the whole time until I got my own phone. :ohwell:

Oh please, like the parentals ever got any phone calls.
:lmao: Only my grandparents.

How about 3-way? Who could imagine?! 3-way for us was a friend sitting in the same room listening on the other line. (the one you had to buy a special adapter for) Now they can call two friends, who can call two friends, and so on and so on. :jameo:

:lmao: That is young. But speaking of older women dating younger men, Demi Moore has it going on with Ashton Kutcher and I bet NKOTB was popular when he was in high school. But who cares, he's hot.

Try elementary school. He was only 8 when their first album came out and 16 when the last one tanked.

Love is Blind
Ok I am going to tell my age with this one - I remember ABC on Sunday nights at 7:00 pm - Walt Disney Movies - ie - The computer wore tennis shoes. I also remember when Beta came out and quickly turned to VHS, and how big the recorders were.
The Wonderful World of Disney....and....Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kindom, and Apple's Way. If sux2b44 is your age, you should remember Beta and VHS came out in the 80's - thats not old yet.

Dems,

I used to type applications on a typewriter and it had to go through 5 copies. Peck, peck, peck, SHIAT :tantrum: yank it out and paint through all copies. :faint: I don't miss the pre-computer days.

Anyway, here I am sitting in my living room, seeing how hard candy is made, visiting Lobster catchers in New England and posting messages on a board I've been visiting for years.
Ah yes!!! I remember those days as well. I didn't have alot of those because by that time I had the electric typerwriter with the correction tape. However, I learned on a manual typewriter. What a pain in the a$$. Thank GOD for computers.
