Bottle Issues..

I've gone through 3 types with this one. Playtex dropins, Dr. Brown, and now Avent. So far Avent is the only nipple she likes. My last one liked them too. However, even with the stage 1 nipples too much comes out. It's all over her by time she's done feeding. I use bibs and burp cloths. They are soaked by time I am done. Any suggestions? My other two just sucked it down.

Maybe try Born free bottles. I know you can get them online at Babies r Us and they don't have that harmful chemical that is found in plastics. Good luck!

How many babies have been harmed by drinking out of the same plastic that they've been making bottles with for years? The nipples look like penises on those bottles. They are just as expensive as Dr. Brown's.

Try the Pritchard one. It's supposed to be as close to nature as you can get! Also, they screw right on to regular 20 oz. plastic bottles.

Please tell me you are joking? Were talking about a human baby not that shaggy ass thing in your avatar.

:poorbaby: Are you having a bad day? Yes, it was a joke.

On a more serious note: Won't she just learn to drink faster? My sister BFs and she said one side always has a faster flow...her baby just learned to drink faster.

Not sure that's how it works.

Don't know if this is the issue, but my youngest daughter was born full term, 6lbs. 8 ozs - so a little small, but she could not handle full size nipples of any kind. I had to use preemie nipples, even though she wasn't a preemie. Once she got about 3-4 months old, she was able to use the normal ones. The hospital gave a few before I left. The rest I bought I had to search for - they were a bit hard to find - but I did get them at Wal-Mart once and a baby superstore another time.

I switched to cheapie bottles. I picked up a few from Wal*Fart. I think they were 3 for $4. She's doing well with those. :lmao:

I've read from a lot of other moms that Avent bottles leak too much. I'll send you a pm.

I was fortunate to be able to use Maws bottles for both babies. They were expensive but were worth it in the long run.

That's what I always did, too. I'd get them from the Dollar Store, too. My daughter never had any problems, she just consumed a lot of formula.

She's been using these Parents Choice bottles for a few days now and all is good. I'm going to strip her down and weigh her in an hour just to see how much she has gained. I do not think she's hit 7 lbs yet and she'll be 3 weeks tomorrow. She's such a little peanut.
