Spring is here and I have just set up an old bow for bowfishing. Thinking I should start out with carp before trying to find some snakeheads. Now all I need id time to get on the water and warmern weather. Any other bowfishers on this site?

I use to see bowfishers just north of the Solomons bridge. The would target the cow nosed rays. I bet that is a great fight trying to muscle 1 of those in.

Lots of skate bow hunters around the island every year. Haven't seen any yet, of course.

Upper Potomac is a good place. I heard on the radio the other day there is a competition that the bow fishing class is $1500. The guides that were talking launch out of Smallwood State Park.
