Boxer in need of home

A facebook friend of mine has posted that her boxer keeps fighting with her Boston Terrier and has injured the terrier, sometimes pretty badly. Husband has just about had it and is considering having the boxer put down.

The owner reports that the dog is good with people, including kids but just doesn't get along with this other dog. He is less than 2 years old and housebroken.

They are located in Charles County.

That's why I posted it here. The woman doesn't want anything to happen to the boxer, so she is looking for a safe place for him.

Even before opening this thread, I knew just from the title that this would be Catt's first post.

Dymphna - do they think this dog should be in a single dog home or is the aggression only toward the terrier?

I'm wondering how the dogs were introduced or if they've been together since pups. Male Boxers are generally good with other dogs.

The terrier is an older dog, who was already established in the home. The boxer was brought into the home as a puppy straight from his mother. I don't know how much socialization he's had with other dogs. My friend isn't online at the moment, so she hasn't answered my questions. I did find a picture though.

My fault...I misread...the dog is female, not spayed.

Boxer hasn't been around other dogs. Owner says that they seem to be fighting for dominance and neither dog will back down from a fight.
