The dog is not being abused but neglected.
Lalia is 2-3 years old and has lived outside for most of that time. The lady who contacted me is willing to pay for her vetting including getting her spayed. If you would like some more information send me a pm and I'll give you the contact number. I beleave the dog is in Waldorf. She's obviously had puppies in the recent past but I don't know anything about their fate.
To any rescue willing to step in, the lady would be more than willing to sponser her if need be.

Abbey would NEVER stand for another woman in the house.

What damn shame...chained. Boxers are not made to be outside. They are brachycephalic dogs and cannot cool the air before it reaches their lungs (same with cold air) so they should NEVER be left out in the hot or cold weather. AND they do not have coats that protect them. Not to mention they are very family oriented dogs.

Jerks.

I can send a note to a breeder pal of mine who is very big in Boxer rescue and she if she has any ideas.

Just sent some info to a Calvert Humane volunteer this morning. One way or another I think this girl is going to be okay. My concern at this point would be heartworm and if she's positive or not.

Contact has been made from 2 rescue groups. It might not be today but I think this girl's going to be alright.

Great glad she is going to get some help. I have 3 foster puppies at home right now so adding a 5th would be to difficult.

Any luck finding a home? Where in Waldorf and is their a time limit we are looking at? She is young enough and might get along with Sasha. Might just take a few scuffles to let Lalia know who's the Diva in the house.

Depending on how her vet check goes, she should be in foster care by Wednesday afternoon.

Interesting to note that every book or guide I have read said the same thing about female Boxers: They don't get along with other female Boxers.
I've even seen a few that tell you to stay out of a fight between females until they've finished.
My little girl was attacked by a big male and made short order of the poor unsuspecting guy. Yet I've seen her at the dog park talk alot but never start anything.
