I just read this on somdnews......
On JAN 17th in L'town, MSP investigated a complaint that an 11-year-old hit his mother with a belt. The boy was taken to the L'town barrack, then transferred to Cheltenham.

You know what would've happened to me if I even looked like I was gonna hit my Mother (with anything) at 11 yrs. old?? I would have received TWO a**-whuppin's; one from Mom and another from Dad after he got home from work that day.

'Well.....maybe there isn't a Dad around,' you might say. DON'T MAKE NO DIFFERENCE.....Mama should've taken that belt and whore his a** out.

Tell me I'm wrong. My Nephew who was 8 at the time I think, wound up one day and kicked me in the lower back as hard as he could. He was mad at me because we had had a disagreement about something. When the throbbing stopped, I caught his narrow a** and tanned his hide. He hasn't kicked me since.

One of the reasons for this kinda crap is; with the exception of the very few;parents don't exercise corporal punishment anymore. Nowadays, it's like "No Timmy. You're not supposed to beat up someone and rob them.' 'Now, go to your room and think about what you did.' UUuuummmm, if that had been ME and I did something like that and my parents found out.....I wouldn't have been able to remember my own name.

Kids today seem to do all kinds of things that shock me. My sister is a Pediatric Nurse and last week some 14 year old kid kicked her in the chest because he didn't want a shot! 14? Should have definitely known better!

My dad had a house rule- you lie, you get the belt. One day I caught him in a lie so I proceeded to his room to retrieve the belt. I came up to him and smacked him on the rear. Viola! No more belt punishment for lying.

In My Opinion

Of course you would have.
it would have been etched into that little stone that would be setting right above your head.

I would have beat his little A** till he couldn't walk. Every kid needs a little fear.

No......not fear.....just sense enough to THINK before doing something. I for one do not want any future children I might have, to grow up IN FEAR of me; but to just know that I will let no bad deed go unpunished. S'all'm sayin'.....

That's a little much don't 'cha think there B?

I have my opinions about child abusers and parents who beat their children just cuz they're within reach; don't get me started on that.

God help my children if the thought even so much as crosses their mind. I play fight/wrestle with them often and the oldest told me that one day he'd be bigger than me and able to kick my butt. I told him good luck with that, no matter how big he gets, I will always be meaner.

I do think they should have a little fear not being scared but a little fear. Ya know the oh Holy Sh*t when mom finds out fear. Not child abuse or anything, just knowing they will not get away with it.
