The problem is it is exhausting if you are attempting to maintain your own portfolio.Big jump today![]()
Talk to the brokerage firms and they all say "Oh let it ride, we're not in a recession, the smart $$ stays put for the long game"
Problem: They profit selling short and then pulling profit on good days so they actually simply enjoy playing with YOUR money (and charging you to do so). It is ugly to pull funds during a slump because that is the gravy for future years...but when Social Security won't cover the bills and a PT job can't cover medical insurance and taxes...ugh. Just let me pull 1500/month from the portfolio and I'll try to leave the nest egg alone!!
