Breakaway Collars

My Sweetest Boy
Sorry to hear about that. I posted a thread about this same thing a few years ago. Buster got tangled up with Biscuit's collar..it was awful. My dogs do not wear collars unless we are walking them.

Thanks all, it's hard to lose a loved one. :huggy:

I just want to get the word out for any who do not know. I thought the fenced in yard was secure but he dug his way under it.

He's buried under my favorite tree with the treats he didn't get to eat.

R.I.P. SID. Retarded, stinky dog. I loved you.

Good point.

I will be walking the other, and then take the collar off.

He was just the sweetest little boy ever. Retarded, and I have no clue what he actually was.

I was hopeful today when somebody found what looked like a B/W ####-Zu mix. I sent a PM and never got a response.

The people who found him called the number on his tag. On the collar that strangled him.

I asked D to bury him with his collar (I didn't want it) and treats and under a tree I look at every single day I'm there.

This is just one of those tragedies you fail to realize. I remember a posting about the dangers of these a while back (and it may have been catt who posted it) but ended up removing them from my kitties.

R.I.P. SID - I bet poor Gizmo is lonely tonight. :ohwell:

He may need a playmate. Those two have been together a long time and I know it isn't something that can be thought of right now, but a thought to consider if Gizmo is lonely.

Wenchy... :huggy:

Gizmo will have another Gizmo. How the canine and feline get along will be another story.

I plan on keeping them both inside, and they are not going to like it at first. Neither has ever been around the opposite breed.

I knew Sid would welcome my Giz.

I hope to post pictures soon of the two cuddling.
