Update-

Police have arrested a 25-year-old Culpeper man in connection with the bomb threat that closed every school and daycare facility in the county Oct. 5. In a 1 p.m. press conference Wednesday, Lt. Patrick Coffey of the Culpeper Police Department said 30 separate phone calls from Sept. 17 to Oct. 5 ranging from death and bomb threats to harassment have been linked to Mark J. Robinson. Justin Brown, a 19-year-old is also a suspect.

Robinson was arrested Tuesday night, after police searched his home, on six felony charges of making bomb threats, threatening to kill or injure by phone and using obscene or vulgar language over the telephone. Police seized computers and computer equipment. He is being held in Culpeper County Jail on no bond.

Robinson moved to Culpeper about one year ago when he found a job through the guidance of an adult foster care program in Sperryville. Robinson said he has a disability from a tumor that was surgically removed from his brain as a child.

Robinson’s brother and boss were shocked that he was arrested on the charges. “That is the last thing I would expect out of him,” said 27-year-old Castleton resident Keith Robinson, who calls his brother caring, friendly and a little slow. “He is easygoing. He wouldn’t hurt nobody. Everyone is appalled at something like that. No one would think anything like that.”

In remembering his arrest, Robinson started to cry, saying that no one wants to listen to him. “I really didn’t do it. I care about the world,” he said. “They arrested me because they think I know about it. … The way they interrogate you, it makes you want to bury in a hole and get away from the world. When this is all over, I think I’m going to pack up my bags, leave Culpeper and go visit my dad.”

Thank the good Lord this guy didn't have a gun!!!!
