Apparently CNN's live studio was hit because they're at tape :blahblah: about Obama during this breaking story.

Possible tornado hits Atlanta

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- A possible tornado swept through downtown Atlanta on Friday night, disrupting a college basketball game and damaging the building that houses CNN.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

The National Weather Service had issued a tornado warning for the area, in effect until 10 p.m. The storm came through at about 9:45 p.m.

Inside CNN Center, water poured through damage in the ceiling into the building's atrium. Glass shattered, and parts of the building filled with dust.

Next door at the Georgia Dome, the SEC conference basketball game between Alabama and Mississippi State was halted. The storm visibly rippled the ceiling of the dome and caused some damage, video of the arena showed. Scaffolding holding the facility's scoreboard swayed 15 minutes after the storm hit.

Outside, construction cones and newspaper boxes were shoved into the street.

This is beginning to sound serious. The Fire Chief said, on CNN's bulletin, that the damage is widespread and said there are several injuries.

Well, now I'm interested.

Wtf???

Wasn't this tornado watch on the local news all day/week long?
Why wasn't the game postponed until after the tornado passed?
Why did people show up anyway instead of staying home preparing?
Are they gone be able to leave the same way they came, vehicle wise?
If CNN's building got that much damage, what about game supporters cars?
Why it seems I'm thinking about this way more than the game supporters did?

Well...

I hope everyone is going to be ok in spite of the injuries. :flowers:

The south is really getting it this year. :frown:

There were no watches ahead of this storm. I'm watching WXIA Live.

CNN is live with international Breaking News coverage, MSNBC is carrying "Breaking News" from 5 hours ago and FOX is also at tape. I'm entertained by the election as well, but they do need to shelf it for breaking stories like this. They largely ignored the Super Tuesday storms that killed many, and now this.

I don't think the MSM and cable news outlets will EVER be resource for information that they were during 9-11, Katrina, the war and other historic events. Cable news over the last two years has fallen back 30 years as far as providing information. You have to wait until the next morning to see it on ABC, just like 30, 40, 50 years ago UNLESS you have the internet. This is just bad for the media as a whole.

You know it's Bush's fault, don'cha?

... Hillary sent him a memo six months ago warning of an immanent Al Qaeda attack using Tornados and he did nothing because it's a predominately Black population.

That's tragic, especially in a high concentration area of people. The news footage was heartfelt...
