A very well-to-do socialite was having a gala event. The most impressive people from the highest social circles were in attendance.
During one particularly quiet time, the hostess let one rip. All eyes turned towards her. Being the elitist she was, she turned to the butler, who was standing nearby. "JEEVES!!" she shouted.... "STOP THAT!"
Without missing a beat, the butler replied, "Certainly Madam. Which way did it go ?"
